We’re actually staying at the Monte Carlo Hotel and Casino this time around. It was one of the few casinos I didn’t photograph when we were in Las Vegas last January. I won’t really get to check it out until Monday though, because bright and early on Saturday morning we’re heading out into the desert.

Red Rock Canyon, Nevada

Last time around our lovely friend Robert took us out to Red Rock Canyon. This time we’re heading to Zion and the Grand Canyon and I have to say I’m excited and nervous. I’m excited because, other than flying over, I haven’t been to these areas since I was a very little girl. The photo opportunities should be incredible. I’m nervous because I’m not much of a hiker and I’ve been watching the temperatures in the area climb to 104 degrees F. Yikes…
