We decided to visit Malta on a whim, thanks to a cheap flight, during one of Alison’s parents’ visits. We spent four days touring the island of Malta by bus, stopping in Marsaxlokk, Valetta, and Mdina. We visited several historic sites, including a set of UNESCO designated tombs, and ate a seafood meal to remember, thanks to a local tip from our bus-driver.
On our final day, we sailed around the island of Malta to Gozo and made a stop at the beautiful Blue Lagoon for a swim. Our time in Malta was only a taste, but we hope to return and see more of what this unique little country has to offer.
