Lower Normandy, France

As Canadians, it’s difficult to think of Normandy without thinking of WWII. In fact, visiting the D-Day beaches, particularly the Canadian Memorial at Juno Beach, was our primary reason for visiting the region. But there is much more to discover here, not the least of which being the stunning Mont-Saint-Michel.

From a foodie perspective, Normandy is home to some of France’s best cheeses (something Alison is always happy to discover.)

We feel we’ve barely scratched Normandy’s surface and are looking forward to discovering more about this rich cultural landscape on the channel coast.
