To celebrate my 40th birthday, I’m sharing the 30 best experiences I had in Belgium during my thirties!
Despite its proximity to Brussels, Walloon Brabant is the one Belgian province we’ve neglected on CheeseWeb. While we’ve spent a good deal of time in Waterloo, including trekking up the Butte du Lion, and Louvain-la-Neuve, visiting the Herge Museum, we’ve failed to document them here, something we hope to rectify in the future.
Despite our neglect, Walloon Brabant is home to one of our favourite tourist attractions in Belgium – the gorgeous Villers Abbey, a crumbling ruin that is a beautiful piece of Wallonia’s Major Heritage. It’s a beautiful spot for a picnic on a sunny summer day.
