West Midlands, England
When our friends told us they were trading their B&B in south-west France for self-catering cottages in England, we were sceptical any place could be as beautiful as their former home. We’re glad to say we were wrong. The West Midlands are stunning and we’ve had a great time visiting the area around Holling Grange on multiple occasions.
The rolling hills and abundance of sheep make it postcard picturesque, to say nothing of the quaint villages. Despite the negative reputation of British food, we found a wealth of fantastic gastro-pubs in the region and the local ciders are not to be missed.
