If you’re living in Belgium and want to travel and meet new people without the hassle of planning and organising sit back and relax because the Brussels Expat Club is here.
We feel a little silly at how long it took us to visit Champagne, being as close to Belgium as it is. In fact, it wasn’t until the final year of our expat adventure we actually made the short trip to the region that put sparkling wine on the map. We did however, visit twice within a few months in an attempt to redeem ourselves from this oversight.
Beyond the magnificent bubbles and fascinating history of the Champagne houses, we were taken with the city of Reims and its extraordinary cathedral. The rolling landscapes of the countryside are begging to be photographed and we expect to spend more time slowly exploring the region.
Today’s guest post from Adriana is a great idea for a weekend getaway from Belgium. We’re super-jealous, as France’s Champagne Region has been on our list of places to visit for ages. After reading and admiring the gorgeous photos, you’ll see why!
Since we had our first child, eight years ago, we have not had a weekend away, alone. When the opportunity arose, in September, there was no question on the destination – the Champagne Region in France.
