The Hotel Chateau Cléry is a gorgeous place to stay in the Boulogne region of France. With its expansive parkland and delicious restaurant it makes a lovely rural retreat, just minutes from bustling Bouglone-Sur-Mer.
In a rather unassuming concrete building, on the edge of Boulogne-sur-Mer, France, is an aquatic wonderland, waiting to be discovered, just a short drive from Belgium. Its name is NAUSICAA and it is an aquarium like no other.
I’m always eager to explore a new part of Belgium and when it’s with a local guide, even better. So when a friend offered to show me around her town, Beersel, just outside of Brussels, I was keen to see what she had in store.
With its Renaissance style architecture, terraced formal gardens and fascinating history, the Castle of Freÿr, on the Meuse River, would be at home among the chateaux of France’s Loire Valley. However, you’ll find it right here, in the province of Namur, in Wallonia, Belgium.
