The Saint Mary’s First Nation Powwow, Fredericton, NB, Canada
We attend our first powwow at the Saint Mary’s First Nation in Fredericton, New Brunswick, Canada and discover a celebration of life, the earth, and diversity.
We are proud to be Canadian and we think Canada is one of the most beautiful countries in the world. We especially love our home provinces on the Atlantic coast, with their rocky shores, unique cultural heritage, and friendly people. Being stuck out on Canada’s far east coast, makes the Atlantic Provinces underrated and less visited by foreign tourists – but we think this makes them all the more special. Maybe this is where our love for hidden travel gems comes from…
We’re sad to say we’ve barely scratched the surface when it comes to exploring our own vast country. While we’ve covered the east coast from tip to tale (with the exception of Newfoundland, which we are both dying to visit), we haven’t touched western Canada and much of the middle we’ve yet to discover. We dream of slow travelling around Canada in the future. Who knows, one of these days we might find ourselves sailing our motorhome to our other homeland.

Those of you who read CheeseWeb regularly and subscribe to our newsletter know we returned to Canada, just over a year ago, after learning of my father’s terminal cancer diagnosis.
