Imagine decorating your home with beautiful objects, filled with colour and warmth, all from nature. At Fossilmar House of Wunders in Brussels, you can do just that.

On the bustling Place Jeu du Balle, in the Marolles neighbourhood of Brussels, Fossilmar House of Wunders is an oasis of calm and beauty.

So much more than a fossil and rock shop, Fossilmar is a home design store that teaches you how to incorporate the natural world into your everyday life.

Walking through this bright and airy shop, you’ll be hard pressed not to want to fill your home with these beautiful pieces.

Just look at these beauties!

Fossilmar House of Wunders is the creation of Steve and Siobhan, world travellers with ties to Morocco, Canada, the USA and Belgium. The pieces in their shop come from around the world and some date back in time to 550 million years ago.

While some of the pieces (fossils, rocks and crystals) are very close to their natural state, others have been lovingly polished and crafted into decorative pieces and useful everyday items, like the tabletops, sink basins, and bowls all created from fossil-filled stone from Morocco.

Along with fossils and crystals there are also beautiful furniture pieces.

There are beautiful all-weather furniture pieces made from recycled wood from fishing boats. Imagine the conversations started by a bookcase created from half of a retired Dhow boat from Madagascar.

Once a fishing boat now a shelf - beautiful!

Fossilmar’s collection even includes meteorites and petrified wood.

There are plenty of smaller items to choose from as well: beautiful jewellery created from semi-precious stones (and even animal skeletons), tiny trilobite fossils, palm-sized selenite hearts, and collections of shark’s teeth. You can even buy your very own crystal ball.

Crystals, Shells and petrified wood - all from the natural world.
