What's in your Google Reader?

Today I’d like to draw a bit of your attention away from CheeseWeb and point it towards my ever growing blogroll. After stagnating for a year or so, I’ve recently discovered a whole batch of new and fabulous blogs.

Many of these new blogs are from other expats here in Belgium. I thought I knew of most of the bloggers here, at least those in Brussels, but boy was I missing out. With the high expat turnover rate, especially in the capital, there always seems to be a great new blogger to discover.

I’ve also added some great new expat blogs from around the world and some really interesting travel blogs. These are the kind of blogs that make me want to pack a suitcase, jump on the next flight out of Brussels and hit the road for a year.  Some of these bloggers are solo travelers, some are couples and a few are families with kids. There are some great photos, excellent writing and lots of incredible stories. I definitely think there is something for everyone.

As of this morning, I have 173 subscriptions in my RSS reader. Recently, a friend asked me where I find all of the blogs I read. Many great ones I’ve discovered through Twitter. (I tweet a lot about travel and photography, as well as sustainability issues, cooking and anything else I find interesting. So please feel free to follow me.) I also find great reads from wandering through the blogrolls of blogs I read and through expat networking sites.

So I hope you’ll have a wander through my blogroll and find a few new blogs to enjoy. I’ve been updating my list frequently and I’m always open to checking out new blogs. If I’ve missed your favourite, please let me know so I can take a look.
